Intro!

I decided to start a blog about my daily life with Kalynn, my little girl. I want to keep my family updated about what's going on with her.
Kalynn made her debut on August 12, 2002. Mommy went through 29 hours of labor, and it was very much worth it. She was 8 lbs 12 oz, 20.5" long (yeah, I grow 'em big). Her Mimi was there in the delivery room and got to hold her a few minutes after she was born. After I was taken care of, Paw Paw, her uncles, aunts and other family members came in to meet her!
Kalynn was a very easy going baby. At around 6 weeks, I believe she was colicky. She would cry from 8pm til about 12am EVERY SINGLE DAY until she was about 12 weeks old. It was very frustrating, and fortunately, Bill was there to help. He would sing "There's no crying in baseball!" We took turns holding her while she cried. It was heartbreaking.
Also, around 6 weeks, we knew she had a genetic disorder. She has neurofibromatosis type 1 (www.ctf.org) Fortunately, she's had minimal problems. She has a very large plexiform tumor under her tongue which causes chewing problems and articulation problems. She also has bilateral optic gliomas, which are tumors on her optic nerve. Fortunately, her vision is perfect. I am very grateful that we've had minimal problems and she is a happy healthy little girl.
She is now 3. She is a hoot. She loves to make us laugh and says the funniest things! Today she told Bill that he is impossible! She also loves Prince, and Star Wars (Star Horse as she calls it). Her favorite songs by Prince is Kiss, and Seven.
Now that intro is done, how about some pictures?
